You directly provide the Young Conservative Network with most of the data we collect. We collect and process data when you:

- interact with the Young Conservative Network or it’s governing body
How will we use your data?
The Young Conservative Network collects and processes your data so that we can:

How do we store your data?
The Young Conservative Network employs physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to help safeguard and prevent unauthorised access to your data, maintain data security, and correctly use your information. This can range from passwords, biometric security and encryption, to managed access policies and routines. We have agreements with all parties and companies who store your data, which oblige them to take appropriate measures to ensure the security of your information.
The Young Conservative Network securely stores your data on our private servers, and also on secure servers belonging to Google LLC (who act as data processors).
Data will only be kept for as long as it is needed for the lawful and legitimate processing of such data. We keep this information in a Register of Systems, which documents the types of data we collect, how it is stored, why we collect it, and how long we retain it for.
What are your data protection rights?
The Young Conservative Network would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

- The right to access – you have the right to access copies of your personal data. There may be a small fee for this service.
- The right to rectification – you have the right to request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate, and the right to request that we complete information you believe is incomplete.

- The right to restrict processing – you have the right to restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions. For example, if you make a processing restriction request that means we cannot process your membership data, we have the right to refuse membership.
- The right to data portability – you have the right to request that we transfer the data that we have collected to another organisation, or directly to you, under certain conditions.

What lawful bases under which do you process my data?
Article 6 of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) state that there are 6 lawful bases for processing data, at least one of which must apply when we process data. At present, the legal bases which apply to the Young Conservative Network are:
